a company like exxon may not even be capable of incurring a loss as the result of a boycott, but a dip or downward trend in quarterly profits will raise some eyebrows and cause them to adjust prices to gain back people who switch to BP or the other companies.
There is more than enough gasoline....please, if you think the amount of ppl it takes to make an impact on exxon would suck every other station dry, you would have to be incredibly naive.
Even after the "disastrous" impact Katrina had on gas, I never had to wait in a line any longer at the pumps than any other time for the last 15 years. Hell, Little League Baseball games create longer lines at gas stations than Katrina did.....don't believe the hype.
